Books I didn’t finish:
Ghost World by Daniel Clowes – I couldn’t get past the graphic language and sexual content.
Land of Marvels by Barry Unsworth – made it to page 90, but was bored stiff.
Collected Poems by Donald Justice – Poetry is so individual; I have no idea why I enjoy some poets and don’t enjoy others. I just didn’t care for it.
The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History by John M. Barry – I checked this out to verify some facts about flu vaccines, and thought I would read the whole thing, but it’s just too dry and too long.
Ice Haven by Daniel Clowes – I put this on my Graphic Novels Challenge list, but it’s just not for me. I know it’s considered a classic, but I guess I don’t “get” it.
The Invention of Everything Else by Samantha Hunt – I read until page 85, but just didn’t care what happened next.
