Birthday bounty
So, look what I got from Michelle yesterday:

The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland - on audiobook!
Plus, a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble, where Kevin and went last night. I came home with:

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows

Irish Girls Are Back in Town - short stories by various authors

The Professors’ Wives’ Club by Joanne Rendell

Leonardo’s Swans by Karen Essex (and yes, I’ll be removing the dustjacket when I read this one!)

You could just put a big ole smiley face sticker on the dustjacket. TeeHee
The Professors’ Wives’ Club looks interesting. Make sure to give us reviews! :o)

I have two Vreeland books on my TBR pile. I’m not familiar with any of the other books except the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which was a fun, gentle, easy read. Not cotton candy reading…more like huckleberry pie reading! Goes down easy.
Happy reading!

Carol - I love the way you describe The Guernsey… I’m going to have to remember that one: “huckleberry pie reading.”
