Lift off with high-speed, high-flying action in this Ultimate 2-disc Edition that takes you inside the suit of Marvel’s invincible superhero for the ultimate Iron Man experience!

After surviving an unexpected attack in enemy territory, jet-setting industrialist Tony Stark builds a high-tech suit of armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. Straight from the pages of the legendary comic book, Iron Man is a hero who is built - not born - to be unlike any other!

This has everything you want in a superhero movie: action, humor, romance, and amazing special effects. Oh, and unlike some special-effect heavy movies (think the three Star Wars prequels), this has a great story, a well-written script, and fully-developed characters portrayed by excellent actors.

Robert Downey Jr. was born to play Tony Stark. Stark begins the movie as a hard-partying, heavy-drinking womanizer who is fully enjoying the riches he earns as head of weapons manufacturer Stark Industries. Not only does Downey do the snarky, sarcastic, devil-may-care Stark perfectly, but he also plays Starks defining moments with the right amount of emotion and depth of feeling.

Director Jon Favreau could have filled the rest of the roles with little-knowns, but instead he goes for extreme talent. Completely holding their own with Downey are Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, and Terrence Howard. Shaun Toub is also terrific as Yinsen, a man Stark comes to know while being held prisoner by terrorists.

I don’t want to give any major plot points away, so I’ll end with this: see Iron Man. And be sure to fast-forward through the credits - to the very, very end. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Iron Man will be released on DVD on September 30th. The two-disc special edition has a ton of special features: deleted and extended scenes, I Am Iron Man: 7-Part “Making Of” documentary, Wired: The Visual Effects of Iron Man, Robert Downey, Jr. screen test, The Actor’s Process, still galleries, and more.
