Where have all the readers gone…

March 12, 2008 Categories: Blogging |

…long time passing? (to be sung to the tune of “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”) :)

I’ve noticed a big drop in the number of readers and comments, and I’m wondering why. Is everyone simply reading on Bloglines or Google Reader? Or are you having trouble with my blog not loading? They have been having some server issues at Homeschool Journal - and they’re working hard to resolve them - so if my page doesn’t load right away, please try again in a few minutes. Hopefully, the problems will be short-lived. And if you’re reading on a feed reader, take a few minutes to click over and say “Hi!”

Bloglines - it’s a good thing, except for the lack of comment boxes. ;-)

Nothing like a blatant plea for comments to bring out the lurkers - and make my day! Thanks for checking in, everyone. :)

I read with Google Reader - but if I see an article that I want to comment on, I’ll hop on over here and do so. I’m more of a lurker though (that’s my introvert speaking).

Maybe bloglines! Probably me not stopping by often enough though. Swamped at work. Naw. I perfer to blame bloglines. They’ve been pretty wonky lately. Suddenly 10 posts unread and it’s two blogs? Weird.

Kev - I confess, I read on Google Reader, too - and I’ve made a promise to myself to comment more often.

Carrie K - I noticed Google Reader was taking a while to pick up my feed, too, when I had updated.

Puss - thanks for stopping by!

Heather - Oh, yuck - I hope you’re feeling better!
