I’ve seen this one several places, most recently at Mama’s:

RED
1. Closest red thing to you: A skein of yarn.
2. Last thing to make you angry: My children when we were shopping at Walmart.
3. Do you have a temper: I wish I didn’t.
4. Are you a fan of romance: In real life – yes. In movies and books – yes, unless it’s campy. I don’t read romance novels anymore. But I do read books that are romantic. I don’t know how to explain the difference.

ORANGE
1. Closest orange thing to you: A plastic dinosaur.
2. Do you like to burn things: Candles -yes. Dinner – no.
3. Dress up for Halloween: Not since I was a kid.
4. Are you usually a warm-hearted person: I think so, but I guess you’d have to ask a real-life friend.
5. Do you have anything against redheaded people: Nope.
6. Are you usually full of energy: Occasionally, but it doesn’t last long.

YELLOW
1.Closest yellow thing: Josiah’s Veggie Tales bus.
2. The happiest time[s] of your life: My wedding day and the days each of my children were born. I’m pretty content right now, too, other than the church situation (we still haven’t found one).
3. Favorite holiday: Christmas, without a doubt.
4. Are you a coward: Yes. I’m afraid of bugs – mostly spiders – and confrontation of any kind.
5. Do you burn or tan: I tan a little. Mostly I just freckle.

GREEN
1. Closest green thing to you: CD jewel case.
2. Do you care about the environment: Yes, but I’m not fanatical about it.
3. Are you jealous of anyone right now: Not that I can think of.
4. Are you a lucky person: I don’t believe in luck, but I do believe I am blessed.
5. Do you always want what you can’t have: Not unless you count time alone.
6. Do you like being outdoors: Depends on the day and the weather.
7. Are you Irish: Very much so – my maiden name is Shannon. As in the river.

BLUE
1. Closest blue thing to you: The shirt I’m wearing.
2. Are you good at calming people down: My kids – usually.
3. Do you like the sea: Not swimming in it, but I like being next to it, walking along it.
4. What was the last thing that made you cry: I just found a Christmas essay my sister wrote about what our holidays were like when we were kids, and it made me cry. I’ve asked her permission to share it here on my blog, so hopefully I’ll be posting it soon.
5. Are you a logical thinker: I think I am, but my husband would probably disagree with that.
6. Can you sleep easily: I used to, but this year I’ve had trouble with insomnia.

PURPLE
1. Last purple thing you saw: A piece of construction paper on the desk next to me.
2. Like being treated to expensive things: I like being treated, but the gift doesn’t have to be expensive. Books are always the most welcome gift for me.
3. Do you like mysterious things: I like mysteries in movies and books, but wouldn’t like one in my own life.
4. Favorite type of chocolate: Lindt or Dove.
5. Ever met anyone in royalty: We used to call one of my sisters “Queen Andrea” – does that count?
6. Are you creative: Sometimes.

PINK
1. Closest pink thing to you: The nose of Josiah’s cow flashlight.
2. Do you like sweet things: Um, yes. Slight understatement
3. Like play-fighting: No.
4. Are you sensitive: Yes.
5. Do you like music: That’s a weird question. Do I like music? I guess I don’t think of it that way. Music is like breathing – it’s necessary, it’s part of who I am.

WHITE
1. Closest white thing to you: My latte cup. I treated myself on the way home from shopping.
2. Would you say you’re innocent: Yes and no. I’m forgiven.
3. Good at keeping the peace: I try to be – I hate chaos and turmoil.
4. Do you like to play in the snow: No. I like to sit inside and read while my kids play in the snow.
5. Are you afraid of going to the doctor or dentist: I don’t really like going to the dentist – especially after last week’s root canal. Going to the doctor doesn’t bother me, though.

BLACK
1. Closest black thing to you: The computer keyboard.
2. Ever enjoy hurting people: Sometimes I can be spiteful when I’m angry and say things I really regret later. Only to my husband, though. Which is weird, since I love him most of all.
3. Are you sophisticated or silly: Silly.
4. Would you like to go to space: No, thanks.
6. What is your favorite color: Purple.
7. Does the color you wear affect your mood: Not as far as I can tell.
