Tears
“Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts.”
~Great Expectations, Charles Dickens
(No, I’m not especially sad today, just thought this was a beautiful quote and wanted to share.)

Very poignant, indeed. *Smile*
(I was too sad to keep posting at my old blog, so I moved. Hope you drop by when you have time! *Squish*)
October 25th, 2006 at 4:47 amI love Dickens for quotes. He is so articulate. Lovely quote.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:17 amMrs. Moo – I’ll be there!
Lawanda – this is the first Dickens I’ve read other than Christmas Carol, and I’m really enjoying it.
October 25th, 2006 at 12:10 pmYou inspired me yet again! I checked out Pickwick Papers and The Old Curiosity Shop today.
I recommend Tale of Two Cities, it was one of my faves gorwing up. I think Dickens is difficult to read, but that is a good thing – makes you think and not just skim! LOL
October 26th, 2006 at 3:29 pmLovely quote. I try to read one Dickens a year and have not met my quota in 2006. He is such a master. Bleakhouse was full of good quotes. Yes, I’d better get booking, and start in on Nicholas Nickleby.
October 27th, 2006 at 1:22 amCarol- there are so many Dickens titles to choose from – lots of good reading still ahead of me, since this is the only one I’ve read other than A Christmas Carol.
